Cake Class

After becoming addicted to cake baking, I decided it was time to start taking classes to really learn how to make amazing cakes.  Some of them are not my favorite, but they taught me some skills I could take on to other projects.  Here are a few:

My first cake at class-- The Butterfly:

VW Bug Cake:

Next we moved on to learning how to make roses... this cake is not one of my favorites, but the flower making is helpful!!

This next cake is another one that was more about the flower, chrysanthemums.

For My sister's birthday, I was put in charge of the cake.  This is the same as one I made in class, just better colors!  The side is made to look like a basket, and then the top is filled with roses. :)

Here is another random cake, working more on the art of perfecting the squiggles to look right!

My first fondant cake.  I love the way this one looks!

And this is my all-time favorite cake from class. They call it a Watercolor cake, and I promise, the picture does not do it justice.

There was also a cupcake class.  It was a very spring time theme, but here are the flower cupcakes! :)
